Big fat flakes on the way home tonight, but it wasn't really sticking to the roads yet. i'm afraid i might be driving to work instead of riding. i don't have a "winter" bike and my tires are 700x28c...
oops... forgot possibly the most important part. the spoke broke on the hub, the side opposite of the cassette.
usually i take leftovers, a yogurt, and a few pieces of fruit and eat things throughout the day as i get hungry. I pack it all in a lunchbox and then velcro the box in with the main handle over the...
I'm a longtime cyclist but just started commuting about 6 weeks ago. About 5 weeks ago i switched out the tubular wheelset on my bike for some 36 spoke clinchers. Last saturday I went back to have...
i recently started commuting to work. i used to commute to my old job but general laziness kept me from doing it once I started at my current job. It is 6 miles 1 way and almost completely flat.
i'm jealous. I really wanted to do this but some other events in my life totally prevent it. enjoy! hope it stays in the 80s like it has for most of july.

big fan of the sweaty handprint on the window.

so what do you people who are so hung up on being able to hear everything around you when you're on a bike do when it is windy?
man what a letdown. i was hoping we'd discuss how much we all recoil at the idea of wasting a beautiful day by playing golf instead of doing well... anything else outside.
Vegetarian Bol from Chipotle
ohio kind of middle of the road trending towards the bottom. sounds about right (in more ways than one)
Columbus has been working for some of that same stuff. Prepare yourself for a rash of awful, uninformed rants in the local paper about how wasteful it is to spend money on things like that
i just got the American Flyers version off of ebay. just arrived today. I can't wait for my little tune up to be done so friday i can go for the first ride!
you loons and your meat. :shakeshead:
sadly, there is a lot that has to happen for me to get this thing operational after i get it. it i s used and the tires will need to be glued, and i've never done that before so i will probably...
my new (and first) road bike will be on my front door in pieces tomorrow when i get home from work!
