Factory shifter position was poor, as well as the bars having a slight tilt to them.
Stock giant bars. I love the bend, so when I go cf on the stem and bars, I'll probably stay with their brand.

Most local shops will let you test a wheel set out if you are a frequent, see if your lbs has anything in your price range to demo.
Maybe some thin rubber glue over it just to make sure nothing enters. Doesn't look all that bad

Longer top tube, completely different geometry. If you wanted to make it work then you would need to have the seat set back as the seat tube angles are different between a tt frame and road frame
Get a road frame and move your road stuff over, theres no use trying to make your tt frame road worthy.
