I rode Coldspring last weekend and there are some *tough* hills. Not insanely steep but steep enough for me to say "oh fudge me" several times.

I agree. Hate it when too many damn people are signing up for a fundraising event.
But seriously, skip the first and if you can hold off, the second rest stop as well. That's where a majority of...
The Dam Loop is a great route, did it last year with Mellow Johnny's Sunday group ride. Stephanie said afterward that it's a good indication of being able to complete the LIVESTRONG 90-mile route. ...

If you did 70 in ATX, especially on the West side, you'll be good to go.
A friend sent me this ride for next weekend, which I'm seriously considering:

I remember one in particular about 10 miles into the ride. We had a nice downhill curve, into a large puddle, and then a blind cattle guard. The riders up front yelled "CATTLE GUARD" and a few...

:D
Coming from flat as a board...
I'm riding the 90-mile route again and looking forward to it.

Very cool pics. Thanks for sharing :thumb:
Do you map that shows your route?
My pleasure and glad you enjoyed them.
Great post, turbo, but you shouldn't be surprised. In another MS150 thread, there were similar comments. Seems as if people forget that this ride is...
I had a great time riding with the Saint Arnold team. A+ support, food, and beer.

Though I think everyone should do it at least once.
Thanks for the suggestions.
k2k - My rear started to hurt on mile 60, so let me know how they feel on longer rides. Who knows, maybe I need to break them in some more..
I totally understand what you're saying but unfortunately, think you (me and pretty much a majority that read BF) are an exception rather than the norm. Most don't have the time due to work, family,...
Anyone?
Guess this is what I get for searching and resurrecting a thread rather than creating a new one.
