It wasn't a blow out but rather like a huge leak. The South entrance to Skyland off the Skyline Drive is just steep. Everywhere else There are plenty of places to pull off - overlooks. I don't...
That sounds like an epic ride for me, I prefer the 50 miles a day up there. Good luck!
For those who are interested in a credit card tour or a few days of camping on the Skyline Drive. I went last week and have a report/insights. I started at Rock Fish Gap - Waynesboro Va. road 52.5...
Thanks guys - I have just recently purchased the pro 4s and they seemed to be holding up great not cuts or flats so far so I might just save myself the 20 minutes of changing them and ride and as...
Derailluers do what the shifters tell them to do as long they are shimano compatible - the dyna system is an exact shift system and will not work, so get the m780 or the m771. Tiagra triple is as...

There is another THREAD that is discussing the C&O-GAP car rental option - I think my buddy and I looked into that but weren't able to make it work. We ended up with a shuttle service for $220 from...
I can't remember the exact deal but last year when I was looking into rental cars for the GAP there were no viable options. Might have been due to logistics. We used a shuttle service out of...

Seems like I've tried to use a 27" fork and it didn't work with the style of brakes I wanted to use - Thanks

It is for a touring bike, I dont need the extra eyelets - would be a bonus.
Thanks

it was a great ride - I think it was around 6000 feet. 8% grade for the first 3 miles in Mt. Mitchell state park.
Asheville to Mt. Mitchell summit (and back) - 64 miles; the first 3 miles into Mt. Mitchell state park are brutal! The club sandwich and homemade chips at the restaurant were great!

Oh Boy, I was hoping this had dropped off the radar. Rack will be fixed, just didn't know how much stress it could take. The fenders are what I had and they will most likely come off, honjos...
