What season, where?
An ass-hatchet is an ass-hatchet.
No matter, this thing does not ride like a touring bike. Short-ish chainstays, short front-center (gasp, it has toe overlap), and narrow fork. I may have added rake when I was realigning the fork and...
True. It just looks like a very low end bike-boom bike and the crank could be anything.
Not even that
Those are for freaks like me at 6'5" and up
I did some work at the co-op straightening the fork (it was really bad) and, guessing from the way the bike steers, added some extra rake. It's good though, it now feels like a low trail CX bike :-P...
@neo_pop_71 I finally got that Univega Gran Turismo rolling. The bar will have to come up eventually.
Have you used the Var fixed cup tool?
I found out we have one at the co-op. Thanks for sharing the info though
You mean you don't want your 700c wheels to look like 26"?
I finally got my bike rolling. There was a long pause due to front brake compatibility but I resigned and dug up an older cantilever set to make the bike work. Now I got to see if the Brooks will...
Used and the last piece for the Gran Turismo.
 Mtb does that in ways I never get on a road bike.
Unless you're going down some insane hills you will be fine. It's actually refreshing to ride fixed without foot retention, just take it easy :ride:
Cool! All I came across on the google were the Var freewheel vices.
I'm planning the maiden voyage for the Gran Turismo on Saturday. I kinda want it to be nasty out.
Bare steel is nice. Maybe I can just send my frame to be sand blasted and clear coat it myself.
Today I got my Univega Gran Turismo back from powdercoating. It looks wonderful  and I can't wait to put it together on Friday. I am highly impressed by the prep work and finish so I want to...
This is excellent. I was wondering if something like this existed to fg remove cogs the same way I would a freewheel. The co-op needs one of these. Who makes it?
Edit. I found out it's Var.
Does the bike track straight when you attempt to ride no hands?
I bought a bike to build a bike so I can bike.
Is it really 66cm? Let me know if you ever decide to sell it :P
listen to the man :bike:
Sounds good. I hope this thing turns out well because it's what I have been looking for with in a long distance road bike except it doesnt have rack mounts and it's only a 62cm. I know a guy that...
