Heres how I mounted bottle cages on my Pista.
Similar to this bike but green with black mags and thin white walls.
I'm going to build a 1969 Stingray I have in a certain style. I few months back I seen a photo someplace on the Interwebs, of a green Schwinn Stingray with black mag wheels. I know this is a shot in...
Maybe I'm not getting it right enough. But I'm 220 and I guess I put a lot of pressure on my chain?
So don't drop hammers on your bike? Yea that could ruin the finish...
So what's the correct torque?
And actually my frame is all chrome so no worries really about paint.
So with proper alignment and torque, one does not need chain tensioner?
Yea I'd rather crank my nuts. I'm afraid that over time thee might damage the finish on my frame.
Yee they fit fine.
My chain kept getting loose from just riding a few miles around my house. Obviously not getting the bolts tight enough, but my buddy gave me a set of these to try. Have any of you tried these and...
Da ladies be lik'in dem track bars.
My 2009 Bianchi Pista I just picked up. My first SS/FG. I still have to put a longer stem on and rerap my bars. Either with honey leather or Celeste. So I'm learning a lot and have a lot to learn.
I road my bike today with the track bars. Its definitely do able but not comfortable. Same as an above poster said, drops or near the stem. I'd prefer road bars but the track bars do look better. But...
Hey thanks man! Yes I'm thinking this is gonna be by set up. I like the Cane Creek brakes.
Now my next question is, I'm going to run a rest brake with a regular road brake lever, should I run a rest lever on the right side for balance? Also, this would keep my OCD from going into defcom 4...
Thank you gentleman, and Scrod too. I can always count on you guys for solid and sound feedback.
What are the advantages and disadvantages of both?
No I understand, its just that I happened upon this Pista and decided to turn it into something I can ride on longer rides without water bottles in my back pockets.
It gets over 100° here in the...
No matter what bike you buy, your going to change things and make it yours.
No I don't have the wrong bike. Just making it suitable to my liking. That's what bicycles are all about.
My LBS had one of these new in the package. They're extrely heavy, as they are made of stainless steel.
I'm very please with my purchase. Considering that they're about $80 new. I got this one used but in like new condition.
Can't wait to put it on the bike when I get it next week!
