    Top-pull road triple FD?

    Here´s a good one.
Does anyone make a FD, compatible with a Shimano triple road STI shifter, that´s top pull?
I know I can get a problem solver pulley thing by the way.

Thanks Mike. It certainly gets a lot of attention from the carbon crowd on group rides, I suppose bright neon paintwork will do that!

  7. Oval Concepts 327 wheelset - clincher tyre recommendations

Specifically, how ´wide´ should I go? The rim is 22mm wide, so towards the bigger end of modern clincher wheelsets.

I also have a set of Felt TTR2 wheels, which are apparently 19.4mm wide at the...

  10. Cutting down a 1" threaded steel fork with a pipe cutter

Can I do this, or will the pipe cutter follow the threads of the fork steerer and ´drift´ away from the intended cutting mark?

Is this a completely idiotic question?

The only snag is that the headtube is a bit longer than other steel bikes I have owned - great for my back, not so great for my home-made headset press...

I taped over the monolith stickers with blue making tape & then sprayed, worked well.

  14. Has anyone successfully mounted DT shifters on 'suicide lever'/'turkey wing' brakes?

    Specifically, on the lever bosses?

Is there a 'how to' - might be a cheap alternative to Kellys or Retroshifts.

  16. DT Shifters attachment screws - different lengths?

I´m trying to swap out the old SunTour DT shifters that were OEM on my Bottecchia for a pair of 500EX from the parts bin.

I can´t get the Shimano ones to engage the boss - the screw is too short....

    Progress has been fairly swift.

The original BB came out easily enough, and has been cleaned & repacked. It spins smoothly enough so will be pressed back into use - budget build mentality rules!

Thanks, I´ll keep an eye out online for it.

More good news - after 30 minutes of wet & dry sanding, we have a seatpost. Proof that 26.3mm into (rusty) 26.2mm does go, if one is persitant enough.
