This thing is pretty cool and super versatile. I bought it a long time ago when I was on the hunt for a touring bike for my wife. It has double eyelets front and back, lowrider rack bosses, bosses...
I have't been able to try the tan walls on the Voyageur yet, but here's a pair of black on my Raleigh Sojourn.
I just had a chance to get them mounted tonight and could only do a few laps around the...
I'm liking this one...that fork especially.

Hey Jim, what size is it?
I'm not sure if they work with Campy, but I'm pretty sure I have a set of 7700 bar end shifters in the garage somewhere. Let me know if that would work and I'll take a look tonight if it does.
Thanks, I've been enjoying it, but I need to find more dirt roads like I see posted on BF all the time.
It's a Civia Bryant I set up with a 650b wheelset. The saddle is actually an RHM recover.
I think you're right. I was talking with a guy at a different shop and he mentioned the same thing.
I had the same thought, and may check with the shop, but probably am stuck with the cost.
On the bright side, at least the tires aren't expensive. I would be especially peeved...
From a short ride with the wife
Got the Nomads and mounted the front with no issue. Then mounted the rear with about 65psi and the tube had a catastrophic failure (exploded!) for no apparent reason. The hole in it...
This guy's doing it on the cheap...
Doesn't sound like spam to me, actually. Kinda starts that way but the rest doesn't read like it in my mind.
That said, it would be cool to see some before and after pics if you have them.
I'm betting it's 650c, with a longer head tube and making it look bigger than a 58
Just as I expected.
That's a pretty solid lineup. :)
Well done yet again. Every bike you post seems special.
What are the 17 currently in the stable?
^^^ Just want to say that's an excellent post.
Nice bikes, very good comparison pictures, and very thoughtful explanations.
Those Fatboys look nice! Does that sound weird?
I have some 700x45 Nomads on the way. I'm not real sure they'll fit the Voyageur but I have several other bikes that I can try them with if they don't.
You got it. Email sent.
Sweet! Didn't someone post this on the "coolest bike on ebay" thread?
Edit: It was....by dddd :)
Thanks for the input. I've never actually been able to tell much difference, personally. I've had/have bikes set up with 5500, 6500, 7700 and FSA cranks that use octalink and also have/had bikes with...
Good to know, thanks. I haven't installed it yet but I'll play with it and see how it does. Thanks for the heads up.
^^^ Those are 45's, correct? Do they measure a bit narrow for you?
I can't comment on the front derailleur compatibility with that crankset, but my understanding is that any 9 speed shimano mtb rear derailleur will work with 9 or 10 speed Shimano road shifters. The...
I'm hoping my rebuild makes a difference. Here's the plan:
Wheelset: Original 27" (front rebuilt with dyno hub) to 700c Mavic MA2 36h
Crankset: Original half step + granny to 6500 triple
