I saw a bike listed on CL last week.

It looked to be in mint condition and the ad said it had never been road!

    3 things come to mind

    1. My aging, near useless body that won't allow me to ride like I did when I was 20!

    2. People who don't ride anymore but have expensive bikes and know their value but won't sell to me for...

From my experience that hub is uncommon, but not rare.

Years ago I had one and have seen others but was not impressed as I don't like coaster brakes. I've also heard comments about the reliability factor and would definitely install a front brake it...

I purchased one similar (not same make but looks like same manufacturer)....

....and it was useless for cleaning bike dried grease. Tried it out on an old hub shell with lots of caked grease and steamer didn't do squat! Ditto on old bearing cages and some other parts. I...

Welcome to our "select" group......I was diagnosed in December during a pre surgery physical. Great fun, you're going to have major back surgery and guess what, you have Parkinsons! Too make matters...
  13. Ditto and who

Ditto: Sort of worked, but flung polish all over me and everything else. Even though I tried to use a lower speed. BTW

Who: I really like that paint stirring stick with 3/8 inch wool felt glued to...

I don't know anything about it either except....

...I think it would look good on the right bike. I wouldn't do anything with it until I found out more, but if it's leather perhaps a saddle shop could advise how best to remove the white "stains"...
  16. Mothers

Lot of work with Mother's got them looking like I wanted. Tried a Dremel with soft wheel but didn't work too well for me so I did them with the cloth around the finger method.

Don't know the extent of your "injuries," but hope you can get back in the saddle again soon! I've had 3 major surgeries and 2 minors in the past 5 years, and was diagnosed with Parkinsons last...

    Go to the pawn stars.....

They surely will have "a person who knows everything there is to know about bicycles" who will drop everything, run over to the store, and ask,
    "What are your concerns Rick?"

    Sorry for the stupid...

  23. Racer Frame Size?

If the Racer has a 23" frame, depending upon your location, it could command a bit of a premium. Most 26" wheeled bikes had smaller frames and for people like me (6') are not very uncomfortable to...

That's what I thought he was trying to say!

I'm no grammerian and my spelling is terrrible, but have we come this far as a nation that we have lost our ability to write alloy wheels? I wonder if the bike also has breaks!
