Sorry, I just couldn't help it!
At this point in time my only advice would be, do what you think is best. Opinions on caring for a Brooks saddle are like ??? holes, everybody has one, LOL. :) I do realize no advice was asked...
Take 2 Miyata's, drink a lot of fluids and get plenty of rest. Everything will be OK!
Geesh .......... Now I've got to go haul all 5 bikes in this household out to the dumpster and start over, LOL. Isn't this rather "one sided" in the C&V forum?
Quite honestly, I wouldn't TRADE...
Not to hi-jack this thread, but the Shimano freewheel that pastorbobnlnh reconditioned for me is nothing less than perfection. I thought it was new, but new ones don't spin as nice or run as quiet!
I'd be more concerned about having a set of pedals, LOL.
Sure I do, I arrange it quite often. A meeting at a local Starbucks at a given time and date is setup. If they don't show, the money is refunded through PayPal and I move on to the next buyer. I...
I e-mailed this seller and asked if local pickup was ok as I was, well ........ LOCAL. I was told no local pickup. I guess they just want to rule out any buyers in the Phoenix area.
I believe the word "Patina" is often used to sugar coat blatant abuse and neglect. IMHO there is nothing attractive or desirable about the latter.
Its just patina, It'll polish up nicely!
+1, My wife's 1977 Univega Gran Turismo Mixte also sports the 1024 butted tubes and the s/n begins with an F. Its a great bike albeit a bit heavy. With alloy wheels the bike does ride like a...
Is wandering kind of like meandering? I was just wondering, LOL.
rootboy, that bike is HOT! What a beauty. I better go for a ride or I'll start looking for another bike.
Yes, I agree. inkandsilver has a very nice bike. I always get sucked into bikes in "shades of blue". Good thing its not for sale, lol.
I just happen to have one sitting in the house attached to a Centurion. If it didn't shift so good I'd probably pull it off and clean it, LOL.
My wife is 5'2" and rides a frame one size larger than that Schwinn. I'd be willing to bet the seat isn't adjusted correctly, if in fact it is .... he/she is one vertically impaired individual.
This is kinda funny, I don't see a 25"/25.5" bike as being tall, the others are just small, lol.
25.5 Trek 400
Sweet ride, great job!
The bike looks GREAT!
Not comparable to the RB1's posted earlier in this thread, but I am always amazed with this mid level Bridgestone 500 ........ every time I ride it.
Well, I'm rather fond of this one.
My wife's Univega Gran Turismo has a serial number of F534696. I would assume its a 1977, built by Miyata. I think your bike was built by someone else, it looks to be a nice bike though.
Wow, I've been a member of this forum since February of 2009, almost 5 years .................. and no one has ever complimented my bikes, 2 times in one day now!
It must be the new (used) wheel...
Thank you, I appreciate the compliment! I really like them too, I was going to replace them with this crank set but I'm kind of up in the air on it.
I like the new tire, it feels and looks the same as the old TG, we'll see how it holds up. These are 700x25.
