Atlanta Thrashers and Atlanta Bicycle Campaign
Atlanta Thrashers Supports ABC
Dear Friends,
As many of you know, I am active in the Atlanta Bicycle Campaign (ABC), an organization working to improve cycling conditions for all of us riding the roads in and around Atlanta.
ABC is partnering with the Atlanta Thrashers hockey club for the first annual Conservation Night Wednesday, January 14, 2004. The game against the Montreal Canadians is an opportunity to support ABC and enjoy exciting Thrashers hockey.
The Thrashers organization is donating 1/2 of the price of each ticket we sell to ABC. Tickets are available at $24 and $54 levels and must be purchased by Jan 6, 2004. They are available from ABC Board members, Atlanta Cycling-Vinings and at the ABC office.
Do your part to help ABC continue its important work.
We have recently received contracts to develop a model program for Safe Routes to Schools for Georgia’s school children and to promote the responsibilities motorists/cyclists have towards each other to make our rides safer. However, we have little money to advocate for cycling based road improvements in Metro Atlanta.
Help us raise money for this necessary part of our mission. Come and join us at the game! The tickets can be great holiday gift to friends and employees.
Additional information about ABC will be available at the table we will have at the game between periods.
