To my Boston folks, MassBike is doing a little fundraiser this Friday.

Petsi Pies Fundraiser: 20% of sales benefit MassBike
Friday, March 11, all day, 285 Beacon Street, Somerville (on the Cambridge line)
Visit our favorite bike-friendly pie store; 20% of proceeds from the day's sales will go to MassBike! Cyclists will also get a free scone with your purchase (remember to show your helmet).

-Trevor, your MassBike MetroBoston secretary

(I figure I know more Boston cyclists on this forum...and besides, pies are topical...right?)

I'd be down for a pie ride. I don't know if it would be this Friday though what with the day job and all, but maybe if their hours allow. Otherwise we could go on a non-pie-benefit day too.

I might be down for Saturday, but frankly this early morning crap sucks. I mean if it was wicked early like 9, that'd be cool because then it's like, up at 8, shower, off to pie-town. But 11 is just early enough that you can't sleep in but not early enough to make a clean sweep of the day.

I might be up for some pie around afternoon tea time on Saturday.

scone does not equal pie. But enjoy your tasty pastry treat anyway

I want pie, Boston. I want pie today.

Who wants to meet around 3pm at Copley (Mission Hill gang, we could meet closer and ride in, say the intersection of Tremont and Parker Street) to go to Petsi Pies?

This sounds like a blast but I have this new puppy that I am trying to give as much attention to as possible. But in the near future I will be down for all sorts of bicycle fun.

Mucho awesomeness. Dogs rule. I'd really like to have a pug but my landlord won't let us get another. Have fun!

I'm staying in unfortunately. I have hit that point in the semester where I have way too much work to even think about my bike. I should actually should be working on a project right now but I'm procrastinating. Besides, I still need to "train" a little more before I go riding with you guys again. i'm sooo out of shape

If I get to it today I'm going to take some pictures of the Pista and put it up for sale on Craigslist. If any of the Boston folks I know are interested in a 57 '04 Pista PM me.

Oh yeah, POST PICS DAMMIT!

Let's do it. I haven't really been outside much today, so I really should do that. It was pretty awesome when I took the dog out.

Anyhow, pie was had, riding was done, it was a really nice day. Rock on.

On your left is fatbat, that's me next, Joe on the far right, and next to me is guy named Matt with a crazy Chinese Raleigh roadster knock-off, complete with very excellent rod brakes. Joe brought him. He's from Austin, but he's cool so he can hang.

edit: oops, had the order wrong. Oh, and if any of you gentlemen would like to snap the original photo, it's at www.zweknu.org/uploads/a_bike_ride_2048.jpg

Yes really. If people are doing events, it's put in the Shameless Promotions. It's the same for everyone, whether doing a promotional event, showcasing items, or whatever. If you have individual items for sale, however, they are put in the Buy-Sell-Trade forum, provided that they are from a third party link.

In the future, if you have promotional events of some nature, or if there are shops opened, or if there are events you'd like to tell members about, it goes in Shameless Promotions. If there is confusion as to why something is moved, it would be a good idea to review the definitions of the forums provided by Joe, which are located on the www.bikeforums.net home page. That should clear things up.
