    ego bike

does anybody have one of these? it sounds like a good idea especially with the rising gas costs. http://www.egovehicles.com/ i love to ride my bicycle to work, but sometimes especially when it's blistering hot, this would be nice. it would be nice to get to work not drenched with sweat on those hot days...

They used the wrong kind of models, they need to round up some people from the mcdonald's inside the local wal-mart to get some more realistic examples of who'd rather ride that than pedal.

I'm seriously thinking of getting a Tornado Sport pedal assist bike.
200w (max allowed in the UK), 36v with a speed of around 15mph and a distance of 20 miles. The good thing about the 'pedal assist' ones is you can increase the range and speed if you're prepared to pedal some. However due to the weight (35kg) not only is carrying them up stairs or over public stiles something to think about but you also have to consider that it you drain the battery complettely cycling back home, especially up hills may be a problem.
