You don't need bunch riding skills for ATB - at least that's what a lot of the riders seem to think!

Bikes: Wilier, Alchemy, Merida MTB,

You are right, courtesy & respect would probably be enuff for the ATB, but in all seriousness some bunch skills would be highly useful in ATB because if you have them it might help you avoid problems caused by others around you who don't.

Anyone else notice the green jersey lads still fighting hard on the climbing stages? First up it was Zabel picking up a crafty 7 points on stage 10, then yesterday Robbie snuck in on the first intermediate sprint to snaffle 6 points. I think Robbie might have a bit of respect for the old man after what happened a few years ago

Prediction for tonights stage anyone? Hard to tell... sprinters will have lead legs after yesterday, climbers won't be interested. I'm guessing accidental breakaway by some random klutz who's legs are still fresh. Maybe even Stu. Or not.

From Cycling News
"A new attack goes with Jens Voigt (CSC), Robbie McEwen (Davitamon), Florent Brard (Caisse d'Epargne), Tom Boonen (Quick.Step), Magnus Backstedt (Liquigas) and a number of others - 14 in total. They have 8 seconds."

Loks like you were right about Robbie and the intermediates...?

Arrgh! It's that French git cooking something unspeakable again. What is wrong with SBS, do they really think the audience of the TdF is watching for the cooking tips?

I am an ardent fan of cooking programs, but I'm watching the TdF coverage for the cycling - everything has it's place and the totally lame cooking segment does not belong.

Forget the goat's cheese tart, we just had buttermilk panna cotta accompanied by stewed rhubarb for dessert.

*Droooooooooooooooooooooooooooooools
Thats ridiculous! Panna Cotta is my favourite dessert, and adding in stewed rhubarb is just plain nasty!
Did you make the pannacotta? recipe?

Of course I made it! Doesn't everyone?

Recipe is on the BBC website

I didn't do the rose petals obviously, since now is not the right time of year and I didn't make the shortbread either. I used two sachets of powdered gelatine since leaf gelatine is impossible to find at Tuggerah.

It got the two thumbs up from hubby, who is also very fond of rhubarb.

Thanks....I will give this a go on the weekend!
FWIW, I planted a rhubarb patch in the garden right near the boundary and the guy who put our fence up figured it was some kind of weed and "fenced" it into our neighbours garden

Remember that we made the world safe for democracy
and will dominate your European bike race (only one though)
retribution for your gaulist leftist politics, non?.

I've heard that Levi had a case of diarreaha or summat, and
that was why he totally sucked at the TT.
Not making excuses, only reporting.

The chicken, the teeth and Menchov sure took a page
out of the postal/disco book of old, ride em till they
drop and then launch. Kudo's to Boogard, didn't think he
had it in him on that kind of climb. One of my Dutch friends
says that the dutch press are saying that was the best riding
he has ever done, and wonder why he hasn't done that before
( better living through chemistry?).

back to listening to Eurosport. . .

Central Coast tradesmen - ya gotta love 'em!

A hint if you are using powdered gelating in the recipe - I used about 2 tablespoons of boiling water to dissolve the gelatine before adding it to the cream. I will be interested to hear the result.

telly? at work? surely you jest?

Did you know that OLN stands for Only Lance Network? and they are changing the
name now that LA has retired? I kid you not.
There really aren't 961 channels of Lance (and there were not quite that
many last year), 24 are devoted to bull riding and rodeo, 57 fishing channels.
BBC, SKY, CNN (damn I can't get CNNI), 372 channels of porn lite, one to watch
murder call reruns, one food network and the rest are either in some slavic tongue
or are cartoon networks (this includes all the MTV clones).
