Lake Stevens, WA. About 5 miles east of Everett. I'm a roadie and just joined a racing team for '07 (and hopefully many many years thereafter). I do most of my riding in the Snohomish/Machias/Lake Stevens area, but once we get some more daylight next year I plan on commuting to and from work in downtown Seattle 2-3 days a week or more.

We're lucky to live in that area. I really enjoy riding in the lake Stevens/Granite Falls/Arlington area. Good hills and awesome scenery.

Yes, indeed. I really dig a big ol' loop around Lake Roesiger (sp?) out in the Machias area. We moved up from Edmonds last year and I'm still trying to get acquainted with the layout up here. Prior to moving to Lake Stevens we never really had any reason to go north of about 128th or so. Now, going SOUTH of 128th is really odd . . .

I'm going to be doing a big ride in a couple of weeks with a several team mates where we head out to Monroe and Sultan and around that area some via some backroads. I've driven that way dozens and dozens of times on Hwy 2, but never ridden that direction at all - much less on the scenic backroads. Should be a pile of fun!

One of these days I'll head out to Granite Falls via Carpenter Road and perhaps on up to Arlington and back again. A dry day would be an incentive to do that right now. Unfortunately it's November in Seattle and "dry" just doesn't happen much.

I'm from Ashland, Oregon---about 15 miles north of the California border. Great biking, road and mountain, and great for snow sports too. But very expensive!

ed209, you live VERY close to me! I am just off 120th SE and SE 208th, up by Kentridge HS.

What do you ride? Perhaps I've seen you...you've probably seen me if you've lived in the area more than a few months.

From Oahu six years now (from Santa Barbara) new to cycling. Obsessed with diving, the ocean and underwater photography and JB with tri-atholons, so thought I would give cycling a try...even though I cannot keep up!

I lived in Spokane Washington for 25 years before taking a transfer to Indiana......Arrgggg, what was I thinking?

My wife and I still think of the Northwest as home and we are looking into coming back.

I grew up in Indianapolis and went to college in Bloomington, Indiana. Moved to Portland when I was about 22....and haven't looked back once! I was surprised how quickly the northwest became home to me and the friends I moved here with.

Woops, I posted this first in the wrong place.

    I'm in O'Brien, OR.

So where the heck is O'Brien, OR? It's right next to Cave Junction, OR, of course!

I'm in rural Sourthwest Oregon, in the Siskiyou Mountains. I can leave from my home and by lunchtime be in the high Siskiyou's. It's a wonderful place to bike, but climbing is must. With only a couple exceptions, all the roads, paved or gravel or dirt start with a 2000 to 3000 foot climb.

    Hello fellow Northwesterners

I'm new to this forum and live in Eugene, OR. I ride recumbents, a GRR from Easy Racers, and a carbon fiber trike from Wiz Wheelz.

Looking forward to getting to know you, either on the road or on this forum.
