life's too short to ride a crummy bike..........
I live in Corona, how could I resist!good one caligurl!
We're doing our own version of this for a Labor Day vacation. I only started riding on the road this year and it'll be my first little tour -- we're staying a couple of days in Newport Beach. Holy crap I can't wait!
The original goal was to ride from home, but I ended up being the only one willing / ready / sufficiently trained to do it. So we're just starting at Green River. Look for the motley-est of crews and that's probably us. I might even ride with a beer. ( We're pretty far from OCP(I finally have a vague understanding of what that is now) ).

What's the route? Maybe I'll ride from here to Riverside & do the return with the group...of course that would make for an early morning.
Fredo, you're my older brother and I love you...but don't ever take sides, with anyone, against the family again...ever.
the majority of it is on the santa ana trail... but if you start in riverside... last year we did some climbing around before getting on the trail...then back through the streets.... to the end/start point

I did this last year too....and caligurl is right, it was HOT!! And the lunch was so damn good that my friend had to call his wife to pick him up because he was too full to ride back! I'd love to finally meet some of you fine folks so maybe I'll sign up!
I belong to the club that is putting on this ride. I don't know all the details, but it will be starting at the Riverside Medical Clinic on Arlington Ave. That's about five miles further than last year. Maybe they'll cut out the climb in Corona to compensate.
The volunteers for the ride usually do a prelude ride a week or two before the event. I'll let you all know how it goes.

Same here, with RBC, but I will not be doing the prelude this year.
Just your average club rider... :)
Click the link and use the drop down menu to see the whole ride.... 150 miles from Corona to 5 mi below Dana Point via Santa Ana River Trail - Huntington Beach - Balboa - then PCH and back... Bumped into Harrison Ford at the Albertsons in S. Laguna on the way back!![]()
I barely like riding the River Trail for free. I'm not going to pay to ride it.

Got news tonight that there will be free Starbucks coffee at the start of the 100 mile ride. There will be either a booth set up in the Riverside Medical Clinic or across the street where the new Starbucks just opened.

Women think they're so clever because they can fake an orgasm for the sake of a relationship, but men can fake a whole relationship for the sake of an orgasm.
I don't think the route is on the web site. It's changed a little from last year. The majority of it is on the Santa Ana River Trail (SART) from Green River to Huntington Beach. The start point is the Riverside Medical Clinic at the corner of Arlington and Brockton. Then it takes Victoria to Corona. After that, I'm not sure of the exact twists and turns to get you to the SART.

yep... the riverside end is different... it started in corona at the... train? bus? station last year! had some climbing in it before hitting the trail.... wonder what this year will bring???

Where's the lunch stop at Jim?
So the lunch is at the halfway point? I haven't ridden over 55 in a good 10 years; wonder if I should go for 72 or 106...
