It's coming up. It's a tour of the low country and you get to cross the Talmadge Bridge.
Not a bad way to end your summer.

RIP Stacey. =3.
I'll be there. It'll be my first century!! Do you know what the route is? The web site is kind of sketchy on the details.
Will there be maps and/or route markers? In the years past, there hasn't been. I was told you just have to know the route.
Bikes use brakes to stop.
If your bike has breaks, don't ride it.
I've seen some route markers out in Effingham County. I would think they would have route sheets for the ride. It'll be a great area for a first century....with the exception of the Talmadge but it'll be short. Smoothie104 is the resident Savannah bike scene expert so maybe he'll chime in. I'm pretty sure he's been a ride coordinator in the past.
Good Luck on the first century.

Sounds good, but I sure would hate to get lost in the lowlands!

無上甚深微妙法 .... 百千萬劫難遭遇..... 我今見聞得受持
Hey, I was referred to these boards from the teamestrogen.com forums. I'm a Savannah native looking to do some riding when I'm home for around the last week of December, first week of January. I never rode a bike much growing up downtown, so I don't know what would make for good, safe rides without much stop and go. I've got no problem going out to Effingham Co. / Rincon, or across the river to Beaufort / Bluffton and all nearby areas.
Know of any clubs in town or nearby or at minimum any good routes to take?
there's a chance someone might have kept their cue sheets for the century. I bet most of the roads on the route are pretty solid cycling roads.
Maybe post in the Road forum. Smoothie104 hangs out there and is in Savannah.
