theres powers2b, hes from euclid. im gonna be in cleveland this weekend visiting the folks, but im in columbus mainly now.
i always thought the bike co-op there was pretty awesome
I am not living in the cleveland area any more but I know that there is some sort of ride that happens on wednesday nights that is supposed to be alot of fun
Cleveland is a damned fine city. Just sayin...
+1 i miss cleveland so much especially after being out here in the flatlands...everytime I go to my parents house I feel like I am heading up into the moutains which is just funny if you ask meOriginally Posted by Fugazi Dave
i have heard good things of cleveland, i have only driven through.. but if there were an alley cat up there i would def go up
bumped. just moved back to cleveland. if you think there's not a lot going on now, just think about 4 years ago. 7 years ago was pretty cool, many more messengers, some alleycats here and there, and general good time. but 3-4 years ago there was NOTHING really to speak of. it's getting a little better, for sure.
if you see a beardo with some 50s track bikes, that's me. say hello.
i'm from cleveland
i live in little italy.
theres rumor of an allley cat tonight
i dunno though heard about it two weeks ago
east 9th by the rock hall 7:30
bicycle mayhem wensday nights
7:30 to 8:15 meeting window
in public square in front of the terminal tower
by the statue of moses cleaveland (thats not a misspelling)
don't think i don't know that, i was born and raised here! i watched a WVIZ show a long time ago about why they changed the spelling, but i don't exactly remember. how are those wednesday night things? i used to ride them with the RLR (cemetary riders for life!) back when they first started. they definitely didn't have a cool name like bicycle mayhem, but there were some fun drunken sprints through abandoned buildings and what not. the absolute best was when we got into the old subway system underneath the detroit-superior bridge!Originally Posted by calculus
have fun at the alleycat with the 45mph winds. i'll be warm and cozy drinking beer at a costume party on the east side somewhere.
Hey Calculus, I sent you a PM.
my bad

I'll be coming up to cleveland on the 20th for the alleycat. Anyone have anymore info on that, other than what's in the alleycats thread?
Yes, I can ride it.
No, it doesn't hurt.
No, someone didn't steal the other wheel.
No, I can't do a wheelie.
Being a unicyclist can suck sometimes.
Here's the video of the Cars R Coffins alleycat, if anyone's interested: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZS9G_R2XP_Y

Are there any pictures from the alleycat posted online yet? I'd love to see some.
Just keep pedaling.

what up, I'm new to BF/fixed gear/etc.
I live in Philly but I'm from Cleveland and didn't realize there was a messenger/alleycat/fixed scene over there. looks cool.
anyone have a map of where this Cars R Coffins race went? (checkpoints I guess?) I watched the videos but I can't really tell from them.

well the weather is getting nice, and i was wondering if anyone here was interested in trying to kickstart the wendsday night rides from public square, last summer there was a good 4-7 people turning up for them but that all seemed to die off by the end of fall..it would be nice to have that again..so if you interested holla back..you know.

Irregardless is not a word, and you do not sound more intelligent using it.
if anyone in the ne ohio area is interested, a buddy of mine and me are gonna start doing some long"er" distance fixed rides through the chagrin river valley area on the eastside, i know its a bit out there but the hills are nice and the road are decent....so if your up for getting your but kicked by what little topography clevelands east has to offer pm me...we're starting this thursday and going from there
I'm gonna be in le hometown 2nd week of May. let's ride. I plan on bringing my fixie, if not I have a hybrid there I take out to the chagrin area sometimes. fun.
