Very nice, I'm in Grasonville. You ride the trail often?.Originally Posted by Vitamin_J
Tour du Port, I think ill do that anyone else going along?
I do sometimes with my wife but really not crazy about the pedestrian traffic etc...
My usual route is a 28 mile run up and down route 8. Where do you ride in Grasonville?
I will probably ride the Tour du Port; I've been wanting to do it for a few years now, and I just never seem to make it.
I plan on registering today, I think ill try the 15-mile route, maybe the 22 not sure yet.
The Tour Du Port is fun. Usually try to leave about 1/2 hour after official start time to reduce "bike" traffic. We take our son on a trail-a-bike. May I also suugest the women on here consider She Got Bike on October 1. Nice experience last year despite the rain!
TdP's a good ride. I've been to the last 5. Can't break my streak now.Originally Posted by Landspeed7

Last year's TdP I rode the loop twice around. Turns the short course into a decent size ride. If anyone else want to try a double TdP, I'll be at the start at 7am.![]()
I will be doing the TDP this year and hopefully I can persuade my GF to come this year too.
Some times i ride on the trail in Kent Island, i also like riding that trail past k-mart in the Roamakoke area. Lately i have been riding on my trainer resting up for a big month in October.Originally Posted by Vitamin_J

My rides blog.
I live in Severn, Maryland - Central Anne Arundel county. I just moved here from rockville. I actually grew up here so know the roads pretty well. I'd like to learn more about the TourDuPort. Any links?
Also - for the Kent Island crowd. I lived there for a while, around the ten mile point on RT. 8 - Keen Farm Lane. That was 15 or 16 years ago. There are a bunch on new homes on the old farm now.
I hope to hook up with some of the Marylanders here someday.
I'm going out on the B&A Trail tomorow for a flat long ride.
Take Care,
That's right, MoCo represent. Or something. I'm also Silver Spring if that wasn't already apparent.Originally Posted by Marylandnewbie

Thank for the motivation

You may want to consider subscribing to the Yahoo group, BBC Talk, run by the Baltimore Bike Club. Sometimes club members sell bikes through that medium.Originally Posted by Landspeed7

Well I’m hard to miss with my “truck bike” as some call it (Xtracycle) with Aero Bars. I really could not make up what kind of bike I wanted or what kind of riding I like to do so I ended up with this Frankenbike of sorts so I can do it all and have lots of excuses to go out and ride (i.e. similar to excuses why people drive a car sometimes.)
