caligurl, it may not be a forum ride, but you have a ride partner for Grand Tour Lite.

Dave, we'll have to ride around here sometime. You're crazy fast for a new rider.

here's the calendar as i see it:

9 sep - amtrak century for those who got in... free for a BF ride

    16 sep - free

23 sep - free but day before grand tour lite... so not a good date
24 sep - grand tour lite... can become a BF ride!

30 sep - i have angeles crest century.... so not free for a bf ride! lol! plus.... several of you have:
1 oct - tour de poway

7 oct - harvest ride in ventura.... so could be free for BF?????

14 oct - FULL FULL FULL! baldy challenge; smog to surf; and 5 counties! WOW! when it rains it pours!
15 oct - palm springs metric

21 oct - las vegas century! gorgeous ride! anyone else in?

28 oct - OCW fall metric - FUN ride! my first ever organized century... it's a sentimental favorite and the apple crisp is AWESOME!

4 nov - BF inland empire ride

11 nov - BF JTNP ride

Yeah, I'm pretty sure I'm ok for the Grand Tour Lite....I'll try to sneak out that Sunday.

Cali....just a thought.....perhaps you should list all upcoming rides in your ride thread, not just BF rides.....as I sometimes have to scramble to see if there are any conflicting rides dates and so on. It's nice to be able to see ALL upcoming rides at a glance.......

i can do that.... whichever is easier.... originally the thread was meant to be just BF rides... but i can see where it would be good to have the other rides listed!

ok..... take a look.... i put red for no BF ride planned.... so open and available for planning a ride?????????

put in the other area rides but greyed them out.... so as to not over power the BF rides!

i put the date of BF rides BOLD!

    how's that work for everyone???????????

Works for me. I'd suggest that any ride with enough BF attendees becomes a BF ride for the purposes of deciding whether to grey it out. For example, Poway clearly has enough BF attendees that we would be planning around it even though it's not a BF ride per se.

yeppers.... i agree... and had already fixed it! and have left grand tour lite not greyed... cuz i'm assuming... the nice ride that it is... that it will become a BF ride, too!

Any info on the Palm Springs Metric?

EDIT - 50 dollars - we will have to see about that - Jersey is top priority!

There's also a link in my signature. I'm looking forward to Baldy Challenge. It should be nearly as memorable as the Pie ride back in January. That ride sits #2 in my personal list of all-time cycling achievements (admittedly with a very short history). And #1 in my favorite group riding experiences.

Hmm, I might be able to schedule the Grand Tour Lite, although I probably would just do the Metric instead of the Century. Anyone want to do the Metric? I'll have to see what our family plans are first.

I'll be doing the Pacific Coast Triathlon on Sept 10th if anyone wants to come out and cheer for a slow clydesdale
Fredo, you're my older brother and I love you...but don't ever take sides, with anyone, against the family again...ever.
