I'll be there!

Keep yer phones on - I may be a few minutes late. They usually don't start exactly at 10 but if they do I'll catch up.

Steve - there are usually enough people with lights to not worry, don't let the lack of light stop ya!

Bikes: Airborne lucky strike

Hello everyone. I just got a new bike after riding a used softail for 2 years that wouldnt hold air in the rear shock for more than 10 miles so I'm enjoying riding again and found this forum. I would like to start hitting those night rides and thought this would be a good night to start. So maybe i will see some of you there.

Matty ~ we missed you too! Your job next time is to ride in front of "Annoying Mountain Bike Guy" who keeps passing us! Only a Pinarello Prince is permitted to pass Henri's Merlin

Two very cool rides happening in December - went to the first one last year and it was awesome.

Lights in the Heights goes to ****r Heights, Brooklyn. The spectacular displays draw 150,000 visitors a year who come from as far away as Japan. So come prepared with bicycle bells ringing to the tune of Jingle Bells. Approx. 25 miles round trip.

Lights in the City is a fun and leisurely ride to see the festive holiday lights and decorations in and around Manhattan. Some that are off the beaten path and not well known but nonetheless spectacular.

I should be able to make it for the first one. The second one is unlikely. I will be away that week and the next but still haven't decided where yet. I'm all over the map. Cheap ticket is hard to come by for that time of the year.

Yeah but it should be gone by tonight. The ride is on no matter what (I just checked) with the exception of thunder and lightening which I doubt we'll see.

I'm thinking of riding on Sunday - there's a preride for a ride I'm helping out on but they won't care if there's more people. 30 miles to Brooklyn.
