The Alex Moulton track bikes were unbeatable in pursuit, since the small wheels allowed the four man team to draft much tighter. The acceleration possible with the little wheels ripped up the sprints, too. The bikes were banned from competition, of course.

This model from 1968 is the only non-suspended Alex Moulton ever made:

I just found this thread so offer up my favourite British fixed gear bike... the original and local owner bought it new in 1955 and died in his 70's due to complications from a bicycle racing accident.

He rode this bike regularly for 50 years on a 46:16 gearing and after adding an 18 tooth freewheel, I replaced that with an 18 tooth fixed cog since I use the bike for touring... my last ride on the bike was 90 miles.

The bike runs on it's original 26 by 1 1/4 Dunlop wheels and tires and the 40 spoke EA1's still look and run as good as new and the Wright's saddle dates to the mid thirties.

Is this the bike he crashed on? That would make my heart skip every time I rode it.

Moose... The Lenton was never crashed... the fellow I got the bike from said his friend had bought a new race bike and figures that he went otb when he grabbed the wrong brake since the controls on the new bike were reversed from the Lenton.

Hey, I can contribute here too. Sorry about the crappy mobile phone pic.

It's my Harry Quinn, vintage unknown but made in Liverpool. And suffering from previous owner's crappy rattle can job. I've also since that pic switched to a chopped straight bar and Ourys - which will not be approved here, I know.

both those harry quinn's are nice bikes.
i just saw my bike posted right when i had gotten it. oh man, such a bad setup. this is a much better version. the seatpillar is even a little lower now that i swapped the 165 cranks for 170's and i decided to go almost a cm lower.
