Holy smokes, that's pretty bold to chop up a high buck ring like that. I'd be a bit worried about flex under load.

Here's my new bike. Ridley Excalibur with custom team paint, SRAM Force & Zipp 303's for racing & Williams Wheel System 19 for training.
Total weight with 1 Al cage is 6.69kg (14.75 pounds) with the Zipps and 7.25kg (15.9 pounds) with the Williams. My first sub 15 pounder![]()
Initial likes/dislikes with SRAM Force.
Like - looks great, no shift cables sticking out.
Dislike - brake pads are a pain to swap out (cork pads for 303's) - When I put the cork pads in I can't reinsert the holding pin. Is this bad? I would think it would only be a problem if I were trying to brake while rolling backwards.![]()
The Zero G's and some of the other brakes I've seen don't have pins or set screws. I don't ride backwards very quickly (although I'm sure if you look back on the hills it can look like that at times) so it's never been an issue.Originally Posted by Pizza Man
Nice looking rig and pretty much goes with the kit, Eh?
Might try the Q rings on the Tarmac this weekend. Gonna need everything I can find in the way of speed.

Pizza I got tired of swapping out pads so I just bought another set of the pad holders and put the CF pads in them. Now I just swap out the how deal, it's faster and easier to deal with.Originally Posted by Pizza Man
