No pics of the trailer, and I'm stuck in Germany right now. Will post trailer pics when I get home. For now, pics of our daughter on her very first bike she got a few weeks ago. And a second pic of mommy and Kaley giving one another some attitude.
I have to brag, I scored a Chariot Cougar 1 trailer for 79 bucks at REI garage sale. Here we are after a family bike ride.
Any tips on keeping the little one from eventually getting helmet off?

We have been avid family bikers for a few years now. Last summer we had the 5 year old on a Novaro 7-spd trail-a-bike and the 3 and 1 year olds were in the Chariot Cougar2 trailer.
This year the boy (now 6) is on his own 6-spd Trek MT60. The 4 year old has taken over the trail-a-bike and the 2 year old has the trailer to herself (for now).
We ordered those vests from Amazon for about $10 each. I think they've recently gone up to $15. They work on 2 AA batteries and they blink like an emergency landing strip! The kids love them and they're too young to figure out that they aren't "cool".
The boy and I did a camping trip where he was back on the trail-a-bike and we towed our gear in the trailer (notice the blinkie vest on the back of the trailer). It was doable but it wasn't pleasant on the side of busy roads with that rig. Next time we are going to put saddle bags on my bike and the trail-a-bike. We haven't tested it yet, but I expect it to be more stable.

Our little one demands a helmet so that she can be like the big ones. Then she promtly rips it off when she realizes how uncomfortable it is (and it's a baby helmet that fits her perfectly).
My only tip is try to find a helmet with a shallow round back. That should be less uncomfortable when she leans her head against the back of the wagon than the pointy ones that make her turn her head to one side or the other.
I really think it's overkill inside the Charriot anyway. The 5-point seatbelt and full cage frame are awesome. Any accident that's going to result in a head injury would have to be way too horrible for the helmet to help anyway.
But your kid = your responsibility.
ITA. When I first got my Chariot, I also picked up helmet for my babe. Quickly realized that he is safe as can be in that bike trailer the the helmet is moot.
He likes to put mine on though, just for fun.

We are on day 3 with our Schwinn Spirit trailer... The little guy loves it. Its got about 20 miles on it already

We have a Burley D'Lite which we use on the other bikes.
I just made a special mount so we can use it on this, our Bike Firday Family Triple.
This will allow us to put the 3 year old in the trailer and my wife can take the third position...
This is the best option since she still has the tendency to nod off - not a good thing when sitting in the middle seat!!!!!
Found it easier to put a bike/trail-a-bike/trailer train together, since we needed the trailer for cargo space, than to convince the 4.5 yr old to share the trailer with the cargo:
(I walked the train through downtown, her COG is so much lower on the TAB than her big brother's that it was pretty easy to leave her on it while I walked the whole thing)

Me and my youngest on our upgraded/restored Mustang of 1985. Mustang were a swedish brand between the 50´s until -89 when they were bought and put down by new danish owner. Its a 63 cm frame by Sakai. 12-speed Shimano Tourney. My Franz refuses any other bike = wants to go steel classic!
