....will ever stop being replied to & fall off the first page of this forum? Or will it continue to appear like a bad penny or a turd that won't flush?
why can't I post this as a poll?

if it does, at least we'll have these gems ABOUT that post to look at. Thanks!
Irregardless is not a word, and you do not sound more intelligent using it.
It kind of reminds me of the Simpson's episode where all the giant signs come to life and Paul Anka sings the jingle song at the end to get them to go away.......
Just don't look, just don't look........just don't look, just don't look.
Sunrise saturday,
I was biking the backroads,
lost in the moment.
I got my questions answered so I'm pretty much done with that topic now. I think it will live on because it's the only topic JF posts in.

What causes that funky blue question mark icon?
1. I don't think this forum has enough threads yet to even have two pages andOriginally Posted by N_C
b. the "John Forester takes on BF Posters" thread will never be forgotten. In all my years on the internet, I'd rank it in the top ten most entertaining (not counting the early days of usenet, which was another world all to itself). Years ago I was on a mailinglist that had to do with a particular sport that I'm a fanatic about and a well-known coach came on one time and totally got ripped a new one (and deservedly so, in my opinion). That coach never came back and reportedly was pretty pissed. John Forester has been treated quite respectfully by comparison.
3. the JF thread is a mess. It might be interesting if he started posting in other threads.
"It may even be that motoring is more healthful than not motoring; death rates were certainly higher in the pre-motoring age."- John Forester
"Laws cannot be properly understood as if written in plain English..."- Forester defending obfuscation.
"Motorist propaganda, continued for sixty years, is what has put cyclists on sidewalks." - Forester, sociologist in his own mind
"'There are no rules of the road on MUPs.' -John Forester" - Helmet Head quoting 'The Great One'
Even though I'm sure he is welcome to post other threads by the admin./mods & his acolytes & followers here. I hope he doesn't. If he does he will have taken over this forum. His threads will dominate. Let's not fool ourselves about this we all know it will happen. It is what happened when ILTB posted the thread in the original A&S forum, thus causing the creation of this one. If JF starts new threads the admin./mods probably have to create a sub-forum off of this one, titled John Forester. Because this one will be over run by nothign but threads created by JF & his acolytes & followers. That's all we need a sub-sub-forum. Boy that would really boost his/their ego's, wouldn't it? Is there enough room on the internet, let alone here in bikeforums for that?Originally Posted by JRA
I recommend JF posts what ever he wants & to his little hearts content on his web site, but allow those that wish to come & respond, debate, etc. Don't keep it closed off.
I figure the VC forum IS the JF forum, whether John participates or not.
Sooner or later most of us will tire of these pointless debates with inflexible zealots that go endlessly nowhere and the VC subforum will turn into ChainGuard, where only those marked with 666 can participate.
"Let us hope our weapons are never needed --but do not forget what the common people knew when they demanded the Bill of Rights: An armed citizenry is the first defense, the best defense, and the final defense against tyranny. If guns are outlawed, only the government will have guns. Only the police, the secret police, the military, the hired servants of our rulers. Only the government -- and a few outlaws. I intend to be among the outlaws" - Edward Abbey
