So, who posted a browser killer in page 5 of this thread? It's hanging both my Firefox and my IE6 (hanging for at least 5 minutes -- but I haven't waited past that).

oh and the dude on the right - that's the naughty boy who snuck on the course and rode behind me the whole way...except I didn't realize what he was up to until at the 1 km to go I heard someone yell "attack that hill! go!"

For some reason, i always have some pathetic hang dog look going on in a race. This one in particular, Leondardtown Crit, is never kind to me. This is last years Cat 4 race. I didnt do well. In fact in a couple more laps i abandoned. Little did I know it was my last race of the year. I had crashed badly in training a couple weeks later and have been playing catch up ever since. If i make late summer races, i'll be lucky
This was 8 months earlier in my first race after a 5 year absense from the racing scene. I was still at around 215lbs. I had already lost 40lbs that summer and will have lost 10 more with in the month. This was at Turkey Day 2005 Cat 4 race, last of the year. Still with the hang dog look. But i had a mid pack finish and for a couple of laps i was pretty bored. Tradezone will do that to you. Still i had nothing left to get myself to the front for the finale as i was happy to just have survived the race

Danno must have one of the lowest positions I've ever seen. No draft behind him!
Here are a couple of me actually in a race. They are from last week's Ronde von Brisbeen.

Day 2 - Crit:

If you've seen his stretching pics, you'd know why. That fella can probably still dial it up to 400 with his chin on his fork crown.Originally Posted by sverrefehn
I really ought to consider stretching. I've never been able to commit to it.
No doubt. The guy on the left looks like a gladiator lost in time.Originally Posted by Cypress

If your relationship still works, you could be training harder.

a.) Circuit Race - I think it's a great course. Has some nice corners. Nice change in elevation. The out-of-the saddle sprints were widely space enough that I had time to recover in between.Originally Posted by Snicklefritz
b.) Crit Race - I'm not much of a crit rider, so I'm not the best person to ask, but if it wasn't for the wind, it wouldn't have been so bad. I would also like to see some changes in elevation. The acceleration out out the 180-degree turn got to me more than anything.
c.) The AV B-ride was on Portola Rd. in the morning when Spectrum went by. Some our group decided to jump on. I sat in until i looked up the road and saw how the combined groups were taking up an entire lane. I told whoever was left to ease up and let the packs sort themselves out. After our climb up to Skyline, we returned to Los Altos via Sandhill Rd. Don't know which time it was when you saw us.

I was out in the early afternoon around that area. Thought it might have been you on the other side of the rode. I was in my team kit and BF was in a hammerhead jersey.Originally Posted by SteveE
Who's the dude in the circuit photo with the Agilent jersey? It kind of looks like a guy I used to work with - is it Storrs Hoen?
We got back to Peet's around 12:15, I think. So we would've been on Sand Hill a bit before noon. If you saw Linda Jackson, D.S. of TIBCO, on Sand Hill around the same time, then that might've been us. I was bridging up to the lead group to contend for the Sand Hill sprint on the rise just east of I-280.
I do know know who the Agilent guy is. We didn't exchange names or business cards!![]()

This needs to be revived for the season. A circuit race I did tonight:
I spent 8/10 laps with cat 2 Blake. He and I are becoming quite familiar with each other in break situations (4 this season alone).
