I rode on a sidewalk and it was good!

So I was in Nurnberg, borrowed my uncles bike and went for a ride. Sidewalk had area for bikes, for pedestrians. Everyone stayed on their side, cars didn't turn right on red. Lots of people riding bikes there, it was great.
I see hills.... Bring them on!!!

I've been using sidewalks at times here too. In particular, there is a bike path between three major roadways which is only accessable via the sidewalk. Also, on my last little bit of ride (a few hundred yards) to work I sometimes go on the sidewalk simply to get further away from the noisy traffic (it cuts significantly the noise I'm exposed to).

Up here, sidewalks are rarely used by pedestrians (Beaverton/Hillsboro area), especially in the later fall, winter, and early spring.
