What road bike do you have?

Very nice bike, Ti all the way.

So SpudPuppy how do you like the look of the fork. I have a Wound-up "5 pics above yours" and not too many people I know like the look of it. I love it......the only aftermarket fork I wanted to put on my bike.

I'm a big fan of Ti, mostly from mtn bike experience.
I'm new to road cycling, so I wasn't too familiar with the myriad component and fork choices. I had to rely on a lot of help building the bike out. I didn't have too many opinions on the fork going in, but nothing stood out to me more. I'm happy with it - it's got a nice look that matches the Ti, and my aversion to bright colors ). It definitely has an... atypical, uh, roundness to it that I suppose takes a bit of getting used to.

Looks like it's off to a good start. What group, wheels and handlebars are you planning on using? Or is that a discussion left for an upcoming thread?

Yeah, I do not ride for a club, but would like to in the future. I'm trying to get into USCF (United States Cycling Federation) and start out at a rating of 5 (just like driving points on your insurance, the lower... the better) and progress from there.

I love the color combinations of my frame and would probably get either yellow treads with a black sidewall, or vise versa (probably the latter.... black treads with yellow sidewall).

I have no clue of what kind of handlebars I should get.... maybe I'll start a new thread...

dan, you're looking for michelin carbon tires. quite cheap (comparatively), rated "best buy" by c+ (english mag), and trouble free for me and my brother in law for quite some time. they're black with yellow stripes on the outside.

wow! I love that bike, not only cause Lance uses it..... but it's just an amazing bike. The colors, the carbon fiber, the weight...... amazing!

I was reading some posts and I found it pretty funny to see some of you call their bike "her". I compare bike with a horse, so wouldn't it be more suitable to call it "him", considering the bike has to be as strong and fast as possible, like a strong male horse ?

It's not new but it's "New" to me...yard sale find with less than 1 mile of my time on it...I haven't owned a bike since the BMX days.

From what I can gather (on here and locally) it's an early 80's Bianchi Squadra. On the down tube (below the seat post) there is a sticker: "Tubi Rinnorzati Formula Two Bianchi Cromo Pro-(letters rubbed off)-zione Columbus.

The headset is Campagnolo as is the front deraileur and the rear deraileur. On the rear deraileur it says "Campagnolo Nuevo Gran Sport"

The rims are "Ambrosio 19 Extra" "Durex" and the hubs have the clips (apparently for lubrication) which I'm told are Campagnolo as well.

The brakes are also Campagnolo.



Any other info about this ride is appreciated...

Here is mine. Just got it a month ago already has almost 1000 miles on it. The only difference is I added my Timne ATAC pedals to it.

Here is mine, just got it last week and it is sweet. It is the new 2004 Cannondale R800, now has an Optimo alloy frame just like the CAAD7 frames.

Added a Cateye computer and LOOK pedals.

Totally agree. Was going to get the R600 double with the kick butt orange and yellow paint job, but opted for the R800.

I like the R600 yellow paint job the best. I wonder if they'll ever trickle down the CAAD7 technology into that color?

Well, here is mine:



My brand new LeMond Tourmalet (2002 model). Picked it up about a month ago, and think it is a great bike!

Have since added a Terry Fly saddle (comfy as can be), Ksyrium Elite wheels (I love the ride.. and they look great too!), and a set of Profile Century Aerobars (gives me one more position on the bike, and is great on those windy days!).
