c0lnago, how much does that thing weigh?
I spy lots of AX-lightness and other weight weenie stuff - it must be approaching (exceeding?!) sub 10lb...

Mostly done building up my new ride. A few more pieces to add and some minor fit adjustments. Built it up as a comfy bike for long rides and for commuting. This is my first 'road' bike, coming off a flat bar mountain bike. Starting with the bars pretty high until I get used to the positioning. Also converting from MTB triple to a road double, so I went with a very wide range rear cassette (11-36) to give me some gearing for hills. I'm working to HTFU on the hills, then I'll put on a more normal rear cassette.

To me the life is a glass half full, I love optimism, life's better that way.
Riding the streets of San Francisco, the roads of West Marin and Northern California...
New Bill Holland Exogrid, with Ultegra Di2 drivetrain, Dt swiss hubs and rims, Fizik seatpost, Regal vintage saddle, Mike Lopez fork, Holland stem, handlebra wrap, molteni orange anodized King headset. Rides like buttr'
I just added this gal to my stable. It's so new to me that it hasn't arrived yet! It's a 49CM Giant CFR Team, I don't know the model year. It's got a full Ultegra group, 27 speed, Mavic CXP 33/Ultegra wheels, (heavy) Kenda Kampaign tires, Selle Italia saddle, 3TTT stem and handlebars, and the frame is carbon with aluminum lugs. The former owner told me it weighs 19 pounds. I intend it to be my "daily driver", or "beater bike", but as I researched it more, I found it certainly is not a beater! In fact, I think it's every bit as high end as my Look 566, with even more aggressive geometry. At any rate, I will ride it A LOT, and I'm really looking forward to it!

Just got this bike about a week ago, it's a 1984 Bianchi San Remo, I had to trade my backup mountain bike for it but it's my first road bike, and I'm loving it.

Cervelo R3 '12 51" SRAM Rival. Wheels+saddle are the cheap standard, but hoping to invest in Zipp 808s/HED Ardennes + Fizik Arione/Antares. Whatever makes my butt happy, and my ride smooth![]()
Picked this up little over a month ago as my first purchased road bike

Eeeek !!!
My front ring won't change that often, so I'm riding mostly an 8-speed. But my Bikes Direct Windsor surely weighs double that and it's all hills here. My name is not animal but suffering Bhostard.
As long as you are not racing, Do you miss the xtra ring ? I think I could live without one if I had 10 or 11 speeds and a 36 in back. I think.![]()
