just for you, themstrkrft.
edit: and to make it legit, post pictures, ask questions, etc.
Yay! I love my flite.

can you smell the new smell?
How do you like the frame itself? (stiffness, built quality, etc) I'm thinking of getting a frameset alone.
For their price, it's uncanny!
can you smell the new smell?
Mine as of late June, Since then, we got hit by a car, new front wheel carbon fork, back to drops, new saddle stickers, Its been great. Sadly the dent is growing and i am considering retiring the frame. I way overpaid at 740$CAD with tax, right when the 2007s came out and i had money to burn, needless to say i feel really stupid now. but oh well to late for that, its a great bike and i think it will remain my favorite bike of all time

what was the price you paid?
I paid about 275 in an Ebay auction.
can you smell the new smell?
hey conor,
are you going on the wednesday night ride this week?
Anyone know if a fsa 111x68mm track crank would fit in the flite 100?
luvs me some flite
I am dyslexic so bear with my posts.... [SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]
Do Spicers count, too?
And would anyone be willing to part with a 56cm-ish? Flite 100/Spicer/etc frame/fork? Preferably the pre-2006 threaded version?
I don't believe there's another production bike on the market that features true track geometry and provision for full-length fender mounting. Don't recall ever seeing or hearing of someone break one, either.
I'm excited to build up my Spicer. Just need a few more parts.
Just picked it up today. Still needs some minor adjustments, bb, cranks, pedals, chain and front brake. Just having it sit in my living room is killing me.
Aren't the Flite and Kilo TT the exact same frame?
If so, I'm thinking that this thread could be better incorporated with the already large kilo thread.
I mean, it's the same frame as a Kilo TT so why not post them there?
Anyways this is mine. I bought it on a whim because my other work bike was failing on me. It started out as a cheap project and I slowly poured more money into it, there's now Dura Ace cranks and fenders on it. Sometimes I throw on Time ATACs. There's a TT dent from having the bars swing around (dented through by bar tape protection too). I'm definitely upgrading the frame when Bikesdirect comes out with the Kilo TT Pro, and I'll probably sell this one for like $70 or something.
if i had no bikes and was starting over from ground zero - I would get the Flite 100 without any hesitation. i love that bike. Theres one in my LBS and it looks and feels perfect! you guys are lucky. it looks great without any changes, even the stock wheelset looks cool if you were to leave it.
If anyone is interested I found 2 sites that sell the flite 100 framest for $250.
- thebikebiz.com
- fixedgearfreak.com (under "bikes for sale")
mine!
gnarly to see other flites!!!
I've owned 2 KHS Flites and am thinking about getting a new one. Great off the peg frame with pretty nice logos and paint.
current state...
NO.
The Flite has a steeper head tube angle, shorter chain stays(= shorter wheel base), less rake on the fork.....the geo is probably closer to a bianchi pista but really, are entry level track frames are not going to be all that drastically different?
i love my flite. i bought the frame off of CL very cheap and built it up. stiff, light, responsive geo. Another plus for me is you don't see them everywhere. i'm just about positive that i'm the only person in town riding one.
i'm glad someone started this thread. i'll have to take some pics tonight.
