My 11 year old son has been racing his Specialized Fat Boy at the BMX track. We want to upgrade to a new bike. He wants a Specialized Hemi, I think he should get a lightweight cromoly framed bike. Can anyone advise us on racing with a Hemi frame or suggest an alternative racing bike?
