That's the funniest thing I've read in a long... time.

I'd almost buy em to help him out.

"Cept I don't have that kind of money and if I did.. well, I'd not buy stuffed toys!

$860 for Home Depot and beer. Not bad.

    That is truly funny!

I'm sure he got far more than he ever hoped from the sale.

    That was incredibly funny.

The winning bidder was the woman that warned about the fakes. She was afraid that she might miss out on a good deal. Now she is pissed because there were some fakes in the lot. There is supposed to be some info at tradelist.com

My mother had collected Beanie Babies for six or seven years, she had thousands of the things. All of them in little plastic boxes etc etc... Then one day out of the blue she decided to get rid of them. She called me up to help her take them to the State Reciving Home (orphanage) so they could be handed out as holiday gifts to the children. It took three trips with a pick up to get them their. I think it was the sweetest thing she has ever done.

Have you seen some of the people that collect Beanie Babies? A batch of new Beanie Babies is released and they buy up as many as they can. Some will spend thousands on them. It's artificial collectors market, the company makes as many as they think they can sell. The price is driven up by people hording them and dealers who will buy thousands and "sit" on them till the price gose up.

This woman can take those beanies and shove 'em where the sun don't shine. If you knew there were probably fakes in the bunch and the seller couldn't gaurantee anything, why did you shell out $860 for them.

Just another example of our litigous society.

I haven't laughed that hard in a long time. He needs to drink better beer though 1.50 around here won't get you anything.

that lady definitely got what was coming to her. I have a cousin that used to collect those things, they had a price list and everything. It was just another fad that went the same way as the whole pokemon thing.

I know beanies were popular a couple years ago and the prices dropped out of them long ago.. She took the risk buying them at $860 he honestly described them "there might be fakes".

    I like his auctions though!!!
