Hey i am trying to get my Rock Shox fork out of my bike but i dont have an owners manual...I have a Gary Fisher Aquila.. it has a threadless Aheadset in it.
Is there some sort of a nut to take off or loosen? Thanks for the help
mm.. just make sure you dont have a little rubber shim that's wedged between the fork and the top of the headset... hammering the fork out the bottom of the headtube would just be working against the shim that's wedged in there.. it's designed to keep your fork in place even though you might have your stem removed(it's a convenient little idea). take it out before you start hammering away, and be prepared to catch your fork if you have the bike in a stand.

If 6 year old threads should not be brought up then why are they still accessible? BF is big enough to have answers to very rare questions. Given that if you have an answer or solution for a 6 year old problem it is worth answering it with a modern post for the sake of someone in the future who may have the same problem. But this person who just asked it the problem was solved, hoo boy!
