Hey I'm thinking about getting into BMX riding, so I was looking at a few craigslist ads and was wondering which is the best deal, lightest, sturdiest all that good stuff
Not sure about that fly. looks shady. The haro has lots of solid stuff on it. The terrible one is old and heavy but solid. the others aren't really worth it.
Hey guys, I'm kinda new here. I've been lurking on the fixed subsection for a bit, got into fixed about a year ago and now I'm looking at getting back into bmx. I used to race an Iron Horse like 12 or so years ago, then moved to an Eastern Ace of Spades like 6yrs ago. My first year of college it was stolen and I moved on to a road bike, then fixed. Lately I've been craving a bmx to play around on again. I don't have that great of a budget, I'd say about $350-400 max. I'm quite a bit bigger than I was when I rode my Eastern, I'm about 6'2" and 220, about 32/33" inseam (def. more fat than needed, but a bit of muscle too). I was just looking for some suggestions from the community about a good starter that will hold my fat ass. Also, I was contemplating a 24"instead of a 20", due to height, etc. What's the general sentiment as far as that goes? Thanks for the info.
I'm 6'1" with a 34" inseam and ride a 20" with a 20.75" top tube (which is fairly average I believe). Since you're a bit taller and have shorter legs, you may want a slightly longer frame to accommodate your upper body better, maybe a 21" TT or whatever.
I've never ridden a 24" so I have no idea. They seem like they'd be easier than a 20" for just riding around on, but the extra size and weight would make throwing them about much harder work, and possibly a bit less manoeuvrable in a crowded skatepark. This is entirely speculation on my part.
Hi, im thinking about getting into street/park and I have a budget around $600. Im 5 11 and around 130lbs. Ive been looking at probably these 3 bikes. Which one would be the best?
We The People- Recon
Fit- PRK 3
Fit- TRL 3
Well, I've finally bought the Fuse and it's an awesome bike. Big thanks to Street rider and minichamp31 for their suggestions.
Anyway, my bro wants to get back into street as well. He's 5'10" and 170 lbs and interested in these bikes: FIT CR24 and WTP Avenue. Which bike is worth getting?
I didn't want to make another thread for this, and figured this was the right place. I'm really contemplating buying this. Its $350

thoughts?
Also, I know the cranks can go rhd or lhd, but if I wanted to change over to RHD, would I have to get a new wheel or will this wheel work?
go for it. hands down. do it now. call that dude up and buy it. and a new rear wheel wont cost toooooooo much. especially if you're gonna sell the one on there now. or try and find someone who wants to trade a RHD for a LHD
