what bike do you think i should get then
I got a budget of $200, should i get the mach 1 GT bike?
comes with V-brakes and at a great price too, $139 with a 10% off too, so yea...
I will be using it for commutes and small things like manuals and bunny hops.
Ended up buying the Dk Four Pack and after the 2 week wait for it, it is sick.
I want to get better at BMXing but i cant with this extremely heavy shwinn freestyle piece of crap. I can barely lift it up enough to wheelie and bunny hop.
I already posted a forum about picking a new bike, but i wanted to be a little more specific, plus i felt ******** for posting a whole nother forum when afterwards i saw this thing.![]()
I want a light bike thats just good for manuals/wheelies and bunny hops maybe a little more if i get better. im not too much worried about it breaking because i wont be doing any extreme stuff, i have about $420. KEYWORD: LIGHT!
I was thinking a Kink Transition 09'. Btw im about 5'8 and 160 lbs. and the transition has a 20.5" frame, im pretty sure thats okay but just to make sure ill ask you guys.
PS. what do bmxers consider normal weight for a bike?
yo dude im like only 2 inches taller and the same weight... that should be a decent bike for you. i looked at it earlier and it looks pretty sick.
normal weight? anywhere from 22-26 lbs i would say. mine weighs in at like 24 i think.
I was also looking at the Liberty but, i dont get that on Kinks website it says "brakes:none (**generic brakes installed**)" or something like that. does that mean it does have crappy brakes or none at all?
and thanks i was pretty sure that was a good bike but i needed to make sure.
Psh you need more muscle. When that happens everything is light.
Every passing minute is another chance to turn it all around.
Haro backtrail x2? sorry im new to this shat. is that wahtchoo mean?
Oh then im gettin the transition. deffinetly.![]()
word. do it.
Yeah, that's a solid bike. Go for it.
Okay so heres another question. If i wanted to replace/upgrade a part whats the heavist part of a bmx bike? Im guessing the frame. But i wouldnt want to replace/upgrade that...so whats the second and third heavist part? Fork and Handlebars? Is there any other good light materials that bike parts can be made out of other than chromolly? And whats the difference between 1 2 and 3 piece cranks? which is better? One more, Theres a skatepark in my town and the cops patrol the area like 24/7 and if they catch a bike in it they ***** at you and if it happens a couple times they take your bike.?!?!?! Its stupid but does any other skate parks that you guys know of do that?
Sorry for all the Q's i just wanna know some stuff.
Note for ******* that cant figure simple stuff out: the ***** was the B word.
The heaviest part varies on different bikes. For a stock bike I had it was the cranks/sprocket and forks. 3pc crank have 3 pieces consisting of crank arms and the spindle, 2pc have 2 and so on. 3pc are usually the way to go but Wombolts are 2 pc and aren't bad.
Every passing minute is another chance to turn it all around.
Wombolts are pretty bad
Wheels are a heavy part on a bike, but you dont need to change anything straight away, chill for a bit hoooooomes
A lot of parks in America have that problem, there's nothing much you can do except petition etc..
Dip me in chocolate and feed me to the Lesbians, eight times because thats my name.
