Just got a notice that the Party Pardee registration is open.

    It's April 4th this year.
This is a good metric century with a decent amount of climbing but not too much.

    Alta Alpina Wild Sierra

Dear msincredible, please add our ride to your list...thanks.

I am happy to announce that registration is now open for the Alta Alpina Challenge: Riding the Wild Sierra presented by the Alta Alpina Cycling Club .

Date: June 13 Start Location: Turtle Rock Park, Markleeville CA

The Alta Alpina Wild Sierra is actually 3 events on one day in Alpine County California and Carson Valley Nevada.

The 8 Pass Challenge is a California Triple Crown ride and just may be the "Worlds Toughest Double Century" at 198 miles and 20,300 ft of climbing including the famous summits such as Kingsbury, Carson, Luther, Blue Lakes, Monitor and Ebbetts.

The Build Your Own Challenge allows you to be "As Wild as You Dare" by choosing to ride 1-6 passes, 30-160 miles. It is possible to do a 5 pass ride similar to the Death Ride without having to ride up Hwy 88 to Carson Pass!

The Kid Carson Challenge is 7 to 29 miles of "Fun in the Foothills" for families and kids.

There is something for just about every rider!

We have had a big response already and are processing the registrations for those who reserved a spot earlier. We are limited to 900 riders the first year. This ride will fill.

If you are not familiar with this area but I suspect most of you NorCals are, I regularly post pics on my blog of our local rides Here.

I'll do my best to answer any questions!

    M'Lady,

Would you be so kind as to add the Harvest Ride Century and Metric in Ukiah on Oct. 4th 2009

I have ridden the full century twice now. It has about 6500 - 7000 feet of climbing. Nothing too steep. Small, friendly, well supported and with great food.

Brie and French bread at a rest stop? Yup! Yummy.
This is a really scenic route through some great Mendocino County roads.

One of the rest stops is at the Anderson Valley Brewing Company if you want a cold one.
    In Escendo Est Verum

Msincredible - here's another to add to the list. Thanks!

    Levi Leipheimer's King Ridge GranFondo
    Date: 10/3/09
Location: Sonoma County, California. Start and finish in Santa Rosa
    Distances: 105, 65, 35
Event Contact: Bike Monkey, LLC, levisGranFondo@BikeMonkey.net, 707-543-4300
    Event Website & Registration: www.levisgranfondo.com
Description: Join three-time Amgen Tour of California winner, Levi Leipheimer, for a fully-supported fall bicycle ride in some of the nation's finest cycling country. Three different routes, ranging from a fairly flat 35 miles, to a very hilly 105 miles, capture the romance of Sonoma County’s most picturesque vineyards, towering redwoods, grassy meadows and coastal panoramas. In the tradition of the gran fondo, these are timed, non-competitive rides. Very strong, skilled riders may opt for the 105-mile GranFondo; the 65-mile MedioFondo is intended for riders with plenty of experience but who ride only once or twice a week; we suggest the gentle 35-mile PiccoloFondo for less experienced riders or those looking for an easy pedal through beautiful landscapes. The rides raise funds for the Tour of California and Forget Me Not Farms.
