Question it just does not make sence

I have noticed that several bike companies will have the EXACT same frame but put different components on it and offer it in different colors as well and call it a different bike.

    How does this work?

is it just too costly to have a different frame with, maby different materials (alu. carbon, steel, ti or combinations therof) than it is to coast by and not really try to get what the customer may want. Only offer it to them as an aftermarket option to purchase later

what are your thoughts on this??

You have one or two good frames, then put better quality wheels and components. That's been done with bikes, and cars, forever. I think you're creating an issue to troll about.
    Bikes use brakes to stop.

If your bike has breaks, don't ride it.

Thank God the automakers don't sell basically the same vehicle under different brands and models with only some trim and color changes. oh, wait a minute. nevermind.
