A little to Metallica for me but it sounds damn good music quality wise. Do you have any other tracks?

I'm not getting the Joan Jett connection at all and I know that musicians pretty much don't dig being compared to other musicians(at least once they've been playing music for a number of years or unless it's a favorite band of their own)but to my ears I am hearing a numbers of things: both influence-wise and in the songwriting...

    1. A definate Metallica vibe with Prog-Rock e.g. Rush, Yes, etc. Mainly I say this because of the unison Stop/Start sections in the middle of the song. Cool use ostinato's-drums and guitar rhythmic mimicking each other. The band Yes used that a lot back in the old days ala Close To The Edge and Tales From The Topographical Ocean.

Vocalist has a Guys Guy voice thing going on. Hetfield, Staap from Creed, etc.

One thing I would say in a constructive critical way is- For radio airplay less is always more(sadly)so you may want to reconsider another edit in 2 areas-1. The intro: getting to the voice sooner and 2. The middle section where the band gets into the unisons.

I only say this as knowing that programmers seem to think that anything without voice is wasted time and until you get to a level of name recognition it's difficult to get the programmers to see anything but their own methodology in a different light.

PS. Drummers got good hands and feet and likes mixing it up(Rod Morgenstein, Neil Peart, etc)but be careful to not lose sight of supporting the song too. Also, drums are recorded good but cymbals could have used a pinch more top end via E.Q.

Did you guys record the drums live to DAT? The recording doesn't sound analog to me.

All in all, good first effort! Congrats on getting your tunes to disc-always a big and exciting first step.
