unstable handlebars

I just bought my first recumbent today and was most excited. (Burley 50) When I got it home, my husband expressed concerns about the handlebars having a bit of give left to right. It does seem like it should be tight in this direction. What do you all think?

Sorry, you're probably wondering what on earth I'm talking about with a Burley 50; I meant a Limbo. Anyway, the screws are all the way tight but it still wobbles about 1/4 of an inch left to right. It seems like this is a defect, but wanted to check to make sure.

I cant say im familar with that 'bent. I doubt this is normal! I would call the LBS where you purchased it from, and ask them to take a look at it. Nothing on a bike should just "wobble".

Thanks for your response, RoadRash! I took it back to the shop where I got it and they said that the company was sending a new boom and that, that should take care of it. Thanks again!
