    Bike rental in Seoul

Is there such a thing? If so, where & what? I will be there for a week in late July but don't speak (substantial) Korean unfortunately.

Yeah, you can rent them on Youido...in the park in the center. They aren't super good bikes but they do work. You can get tandems there too.

Be super careful riding over in the ROK... drivers are a tad bit more crazy than in the states... if you speak english you will be ok in a lot of Seoul... as the Itawan <sp> area has a lot of americans... and its very touristy..

There are places all along the river to rent bicycles, but hiker is right. Yeouido would be the best place to go. My friend and I rented once and it felt like the bikes were going to fall apart. After that I pulled a rusty lespo roadstar out of some bushes, fixed it up, and gave it to him. It rode much better than the rental and it was free.

If you're looking for a bike for the entire time, I don't think you can get that. It's about 2000 won for 2 hours.

It's best to stay on the river bicycle roads in Korea. Drivers here have a real "me first" attitude. I ride to work on my bike using the sidewalks. For anywhere else I only use the rivers.
