Anyone planning on going to a concert anytime soon?

Just got tickets to see the Dropkick Murphys at the Avalon in Boston on March 11th.

Erika Badu coming to the Chicago Auditorium on February 28th. She is phenominal in concert-there aren't too many people I think sound good in concert, but she's certainly up for a live performance anytime!

I will be going to the Winnipeg New Music Festival which runs from January 24-30. This year’s distinguished guest composer is the Chicago Symphony Orchestra's Composer -in-Residence Augusta Read Thomas. Other composers works include: Giya Kancheli, Brett Dean, John Cage, Aaron Jay Kernis, Avro Part, Alfred Schnittke and heaps of others.

    *sigh*

I sure do miss Sir George Solti, though.... he was a master of composing and is still sorely missed in Chicago.

Funeral Diner at some coffee place in Flint, Michigan. My friend Chad is putting on this show.

Defiance, Ohio at the Trumbullplex in Detroit, Michigan. I may not go to this depending on whether or not the 'Plex has a stage. I'd hate to see Def, OH on a stage after seeing them in a 7' by 7' kitchen around this time last year.

    That's all for right now.

This fall Alice Cooper will be doing North America again. So far only one N.A.venue has been announced - Wolftrap, Virginia in August - but lots of Europe/Australia shows are already on sale for Spring/Summer.

I missed him last year because he didn't get closer than Alberta. This year I'm going if I have to...uh...ride my bike!

The Eagles are supposed to play Bangalore in June, nice way to spend an evening. Would make a good year here, Sting, Mark Knophfler and the Eagles.

What are they doing? Why do they come here? Some kind of instinct. Memory, of what they used to do. This was an important place in their lives.

Not exactly a concert, but a performance. I'm going to see Alvin Ailey's dance performances at the Auditorium on opening night. They are going to be featuring the music of Stevie Wonder and Earth, Wind, and Fire. How could something with that music turn out anything but good?

No such luck. It'll be all I can do to afford a local ticket. He's GOTTA come to Vancouver this year!

Psychedelic Furs, April 2. (Which disturbs me, but The Wife likes them and well, they've got some okay songs.)
