Nishiki Kamra, anyone heard of these?
Well I just bought an '07 Schwinn madison and I'm having a blast on it. I'm still interested in building a budget conversion that I can take anywhere without worrying about it.
I posted a note at work here looking for old road bikes and someone replied with the following. He said that his friend had bought a Kamra in the Philippines and brought it back, but it was too big for him. He sold it to my coworker who is offering to sell it to me. He tells me that Kamra was made by Nishiki in the late 80's. My question to you is, have you heard of Kamra?
He's checking on the drop-outs for me today so I can see if it's even worth considering. I'll ride over and take a look at it after work today if it is. What's a reasonable asking price for something like this if it's in good condition aside from chain/derailer adjustments?
This forum is a fantastic source of information and advice. Thanks much from a newbie.

I believe that it'd be a great candidate for conversion.
Here's someone who converted one. It has horizontal drops:

He's looking to get "under $100" which I figure is probably 80-90 range. Without having been 'in the market' for very long, does that seem like a reasonable deal if the bikes in great shape?
