Shimano Tourney Reviews?

I just picked up an old 1987 bianchi with a full (i think) Shimano Tourney gruppo. I am clueless about the merits/ faults of this kit. I can probably wrangle another group if I have trouble, but Id like to hear people's opinions of the group.

Tourney was a mid level group that works very well. Roger

I also just got a 1982 Fuji Team Fuji with a Shimano ARX group. I believe this is a little better derailleur out of the box right? If so is it worth shifting. It would also mean i would have downtube shifters as opposed to stems

IMHO, If I was building a bike and I had a choice between Suntour ARX and Shimano Tourney, I would go with the Suntour every time if the condition of each was the same. Are you sure its a ARX and not a ARX II?
What does not compute is why you are stripping a Fuji Team to put parts on a bike that came with low end parts? Fuji Team is a very nice bike and a good ride.
EDIT: I'm assuming you are using friction shifters.

Im not sure yet, I was mostly just asking which component group was better. I think im going to keep the fuji as my fast bike and rack out the bianchi with some bigger tires too. Yes rocco I am using friction shifters. And yeah sorry i meant suntour not shimano for the ARX, sorry for being a newbie.
