    For zee boys in Chicago

Not in the slightest fixie-related, but anyway...

This message popped up on the message board I keep an eye on for my job, professional tips, networking - all the stuff you hate to admit you do.

I know there are a lot of you guys in Chi-town and you seem to have at least passing interest in music. Thought I would pass this along so you could maybe get some props for your band, your favorite band or favorite venue.

    Hey all,
A close friend is a producer at the new Ryan Seacrest show and he's working
on some upcoming segments on the local music scenes in New York and Chicago.
Does anyone have ideas of cool bands in these cities that may be interested
in participating in the segments? Or do you know anything about venues where
locals go to listen music. He's not really looking for those well known
tourist hotspots, but any help would be greatly appreciated. If you have
contact information or a website for the bands/venues, I'm sure Derek would
appreciate the information. Please feel free to email me off-list.

    Thanks,
    Julia
Yes. Ryan Seacrest makes me want to puke too. PM me and I'll pass along the info. Promise to give credit where credit is due.

How about the Abbey Pub. They have a nice mix of local and national and some cool acts which would have once booked at the Metro or Double Door. Here's their site: http://www.abbeypub.com/

    Who is Ryan Seacrest anyways?
