new bike!

My parents bought me a new bike yesterday. It is so awesome, at least to me. I ride this old fuji now but having this newer bike makes so much of a difference. I guess i never realized how much of a difference it makes. I cannot wait to zoom by all those people in triathlons that used to pass me on the bike. It will be my first new bike. They bought me an Allez Sport. Not the greatest from what i have seen but like i would be able to tell the difference anyway. It has a tiagra and 105 combo. I cannot wait to get out and ride it. Its my new best friend!

Atta boy! I've gone to Specialized's site and have taken a look. Very nice. Don't concern yourself with what is or isn't the greatest as long as you are either training hard to be a competitor or going out for a good time. Good training, attitude and preparation will ensure you get every drop of torque out of the bike and that it is used to it's full potential.
So get out and ride when you can and then tell us how you felt......don't forget to use the Fuji for training once in awhile so that the Allez is a treat!!

yeah, its good to remember in triathlon where so many people get so worked up over aero-this and carbon/Ti that, when it comes down to it, the engine (you) is much more importaznt than any gear you use.

Great words of wisdom...haha. I actually never thought of it that way, but really it is the truth. I am glad you said that. Makes me feel like i can kick butt no matter what i am riding! Oh Yeah! haha
