Thanks, I actually had no idea about the levers. And suggestions for a good replacement? Also this picture made me realize how bent the bar and saddle really are. Should have noticed that before.

In terms of pure aesthetics, would prefer matching dummy brake lever and matching rims. Probably would go with silver over black.

-Silver crankset

Thanks guys, but the black components are staying, the pics don't really capture the nice contrast between the black parts and the red/chrome frame.

I do want an all black front wheel ...... maybe a Mavic Ellipse. The stem, bars and brake lever(s) are next on the "to do" list.

Heyoooo. New levers. I like the yellow. There's a pair of neon look ARCs I want soooo bad, I just can't justify it. It'd lessen the white overload down low. And yes, I have foot retention, I just tossed these platforms on today to cruise around campus.

Still too much white. I think the yellow would look much better with black or silver.

I do like the new bars though.

Yeah, I have a pair of black DX platforms and a normal chain, that alone might help a lot. Kind married to the wheels, as I'm not about to strip them, then repaint. Black crankarms would rock though. I'd paint the frame, but I don't really have the two weeks for the clear to harden until snow flies again. rusty it is.

How much lower can he go?

1) Legally, his hands cannot be lower than the top of the tires.
2) It's about comfort and power output, not "lower is better"
3) He's already pretty darn low as it is. His bars are about 1.5-2" above the tire. That's low.
