Been on a bit of a spending spree the last day or so:

    PI Pro bibs.
Specalized Tahoe shoes (for the tour/trail bike)
    Polar bottle
Castelli Mauro Wool Jersey (from ChainLove)
TransIt rack trunk (for the tour/trail bike)
Performance Century baggy bike shorts (for the tour/trail bike) - can ya tell I'm gearing up for a ride on it?

    Still need:
Cateye Dual Wireless - comparing prices, really must get my speed out in front of me while leading the group rides again
Another set of bibs or two.
    Pump / CO2 for the tour/trail bike

I actually haven't had a chance to wear it on a ride yet, but just trying it on, this thing was TINY! I grabbed a size medium first, and I couldn't even put it on. It was ridic. I have a number of other Castelli jerseys in Medium, but for this particular jersey I had to buy a Large. I wear a 38 jacket fwiw.

Not real big, just yet anyways. We'll call this a 'see how I like the back roads / trails riding thing' ride. Mineral Wells Trailway - 20mi each way, taking the DSLR camera which is the big reason for the trunk, spending the afternoon around Weatherford so figured some baggy bike shorts would get fewer 'looks' from the locals. Part of my solo 'get the hell out of dodge' vacation in a few weeks. Spending 3 days out in Palo Pinto county, between Mineral Wells state park, the trailway, and probably a couple other state parks to do some hiking and such.

Let's see who can spend more money then me. I just reached deep in my wallet today, yup I pulled the trigger on a purchase I was seriously contemplating, but as soon as I saw it I knew that was it, I just had to have it. So I picked a little pack of 6 Specialized glueless patches for $3. I probably could have gotten a better deal on the internet, but the LBS needed the business.

One patch by itself is so light the paper it's attached to weighs twice as much. Using these lighter patches allows me to average about 5 mph faster then heavy clunky patches like the Rema's.

Can't wait to try them. They're mounted and ready. Now my left shift paddle broke! WTH!!

You don't need massive funds to build a lightish bike, just a good eye for ebay deals

Too cheap to spend the extra 20 bucks to get the superlite helium-3 patches? Have fun eating my dust, pennypincher.
