i can't get that dia-compe brake to stop squeaking. seems to be no toe-in adjustment.
hmm, my toe in is TERRIBLE as well, one's toed out and the other is toed in.
i think the squeaking problem and the toe in problem can be cured with a better set of pads and toe adjustable refillable holders.
this is a pretty common upgrade it seems and i see no reason to not replace the pads and shoe holders with refillable holders that adjust.

kool-stop cartridge pad holder set is what you want - great pads and orbiting holders.

thank you geordi, you're wonderfully helpful tonight!
those cables are insanely helpful, i'm glad i complimented my mini u with one. be sure to have a seperate lock so you don't have to route it back to your real lock.
those cartriges are definitely worthwhile once i have the spending money.
i just looked at the major taylor bars and blue grips on thomson and must say, i hope it looks better than it does in my head
that stem and those bars go together about as well as sour cream and pickled cashews. hurl.
yeah, the cable is being used with my ny mini u to secure my rear wheel -- easily cut, but might prevent a crime of opportunity.
I'm waiting for this frame and fork to be delivered. Not sure if it fits in this thread but I'm excited.

just got syntace stratos bars. now I just need to find a 1-1/8" threadless 70mm stem with a 26.0 clamp. anyone got any suggestions?
the only one I can find right now is an FSA Vision Sizemore.
Thanks, I did go BB30. For this type of bike it make sense to make everything as stiff as possible. I just bought a carbon Cannondale BB30 road crank for it. I have all the parts in a box just waiting for the frame and fork. Should be a couple of more weeks.
