Sorry, it's a quasi-governmental agency, not a cabinet level bureau or department. The US Post Office died in 1971. If you pay for it yes but misuse of USPS stuff could be illegal.

The Constitution isn't a factor here. USPS regulations are.

I used to have an entire 4'x8' storage locker packed floor-to-ceiling with stuff all neatly boxed up into neat little 12"x12"x5" flat-rate USPS boxes. I had moved out of a big house with a 3-car garage into a tiny little 800sq/ft condo with my new girlfriend. I had a ton of books, supplies, bike parts, and other junk that I didn't have room for or time to sell for a good price during my move and fixing my house up leading up to the sale.

The boxes are tough as nails, moisture-resistant, fit books well and could handle the weight of them when full, and didn't rib/bulge out when heavily loaded with them. They stack very nicely as they are all the same size and shape.

Best of all they are are absolutely free from USPS and come in a nice flat package if you order them by the bundle on the USPS site. I think I got 3 20-30lbs packages of them delivered for free They even came with a six-pack of free rolls of tape to build them up. Don't be cheap with the tape as you might as well build them sturdy to last. I was doing a lot of selling back at the beginning before paybay really started to suck so I had ordered similar boxes before so USPS didn't even bat an eye when I made a big order of the boxes.

It took me years to slowly go through all that stuff and sell or trade the stuff and work down to a point where it all fit in my new home. Funny thing is I don't remember ever throwing any boxes out -I'm fairly sure nearly every one got re-used to ship out stuff I sold on ebay or traded online. I still have a dozen or so of them in my parent's basement for long-term storage of books and a few things I haven't yet had the heart to get rid or the room to store. I might end up using them to ship stuff out someday if they don't change the boxes so they can't be used.

No I don't have a single pang of guilt that I got extra use out of them before they were utilized for their intended purpose.

I know toronto bike prices fetch way higher amounts then most places, but i will admit this is a little absurd. He's claiming NOS but there's no box and the pictures are sh*t. Kind of a joke if you ask me. There's also another guy somewhere trying to sell suntour parts for 400, they're cyclone and normal suntour parts...

i have a black bmx mongoose that i dont want anymore bc im getting a new one its a really good bike i just put new tires on it . It has no breaks the seat is alittle worn out but its still good. im asking for 200.00 or 180.00 thats it. if u want or want to take a look at to see if u want u can call or txt me my cell number is 509-917-1892 thanks i also have pic i can send to u too i just put a new tube in the tires too it has silver pedles on both sides
I'm asking 200 or 180 thats it? All you do as a seller by mentioning any number besides your high starting offer is immediately start the negotiation at that lower price. He should have never even mentioned the 200.

All that aside, 200 for a Mongoose BMX with no "breaks" and worn seat? Unless its a classic collector's item, seems WAYYY over priced, its probably nothing more than a generic Wallyworld mongoose.

My good deed of the week (whom I kidding probably year).

well, I noticed this posting last night on Craigslist.

    http://portland.craigslist.org/mlt/bik/2941201767.html

And then seeing that it's a locally made handmade bike, did a quick Google search on it, and the found the bike listed here:

    http://bikeportland.org/2012/04/04/5...ade-1992-69907

Then proceded to email both parties.

Last I heard the guy posting the craigslist ad bought it from a guy on the street for $15.00.
Bike and owner if not reunited by now, will be shortly.

This Touring bike is a classic and in one year it will be an antique. It is in great shape. It is made out of titanium so very light. It is an ultimate touring machine for the most demanding on and off road usage. Shanea FX cranks. Shamono rear gears 18 speed. Dark metallic blue color.

Ads like that annoy the heck out of me. I want a seller to give me a price, I don't want to make an offer. It reminds me of how someone here at BF was offering some tires for sale in the marketplace. I asked in the thread " how much for the tires?" and they pmed me with "make an offer".

No, I am not going to make you an offer, you just tell me what you think is a fair price and we will go from there. I just never responded to the PM. They were just normal tires, nothing rare or special.

So if you want to sell something, put a price down otherwise you will lose interest of some people.

And good lord, does that old man in the ad know how to spell at all?
