I bought a Dave Moulton Fuso from Miamijim last month. Best buying experience ever. Not only was it expertly packed (so much so that I didn't want to unwrap the frame) but he also sent extra items as gifts. I felt like it was Christmas. Can't rave enough about Miamijim's generosity. Bestest.

"Miamijim" helped me out in a big big way by sending me his stash of Hoshi spokes recently. Exactly the sizes I need too! A fellow C&Ver that we can all truly count on!

Wanted to give a big shout out to "Irvri" who went out of his way to take a look at a Masi Prestige for me about an hour or so from where he lives in Arizona. He gave me a detailed written analysis of the bike and even provided me with some excellent pictures.

    Transaction Satisfaction!

Big to jstewse and jjhabbs for our recent transactions.
jstewse was kind enough to supply me with a serviceable pair of Lyotard pedals awhile back, which arrived promptly as described.
jjhabbs shipped a genuine Juy to my doorstep on a Tuesday afternoon, I believe his pricing was firm but fair. All told, I'm a happy cyclocamper for our dealings.
Thanks again good members, these items will be well kept & highly regarded!

Just bought Schnibop's Alan Carbonio Frameset.
It was great working with him to buy the bike. Very responsive and considerate.
Plus the bike came in with the best/most protective pacakging I have seen yet!
Thanks very much Schnibop, for helping me end my long search for my Italian C&V grail bike!

    cudak888 A+

My first purchase through these forums. I wasn't worried about dealing with Kurt as I have seen him help others here over the few years I have been here. To say that he goes out of the way to make the transaction flawless would be a monumental understatement. Great communication and bomb-proof packing. The Masi was better than I had expected. No hesitation to buy from him again.

I've been dealing with a questionable inquiry from a relatively new member, tgr, in regards to my for sale thread. The story goes as follows:

TGR initially posted in reply to my thread that he wished to buy a Campagnolo rear hub and a collection of brake calipers. Having under 30 posts, he provided his email address. I contacted him a few weeks ago to notify him that the hub was still available, but he had missed out on the calipers. I did not receive a reply.

About a week and a half later, I followed up with him to see if he remained interested in the hub. He replied soon after, indicating that he would pass on the hub, but he would send a check for a pair of crankarms and a Suntour freewheel. This was puzzling to me, for he hadn't expressed previous interest in any crankarm, and the only Suntour freewheels I have available are in a lot of six. I replied and stated that I had sold all my Campagnolo cranks since, but I'd gladly sell him one of the Suntour freewheels if he could indicate which one.

A reply was sent, stating that he knew that I had "sold the 165[mm crankarms]...[he] wanted the 170 arms" and a subtle reminder that he had already earmarked the arms for himself much earlier. He provided no comments about the freewheel.

Here's the thing: I've never owned a pair of 165mm Campagnolo crankarms - ever - and told him so. This fell on deaf ears, as his reply stated that I was "holding some Campy 170 crank arms ($25 + 5 shipping)" for him, he didn't want the hub, still wished the Suntour freewheel, and wanted to know where he could send the money (without asking for a total and ignoring the fact that my first email to him included my shipping address).

More importantly, I do not have any Campagnolo cranksets for sale for $25 + 5 shipping. Furthermore, the prices of all Campagnolo crankarms in my recent for sale postings have had the cost of shipping figured into the price. There is no possible way I could have quoted him $25 for a crankset - much less an additional $5 for shipping.

Unless he has me confused for someone else - which is unlikely, for I already looked through the entire 30 posts to his name, and not one of them reference Campagnolo crankarms or Suntour freewheels - I find his actions very strange and bordering on questionable. Until he can explain his charade to my satisfaction, I will not sell to him.

    -Kurt

    Thank you for the heads-up!!!

On a happier note, redxj shipped a nice Campy pedal/clip/strap package so quickly, I could have sworn he lived in town here.

They were packed perfectly and were better than advertised!

    Thanks again.

Heck, Robbie - I haven't even gotten to the big Pay It Forward lot I must do in order to get rid of the stuff that's been gifted to me. I don't have the time to do two lots!

It's a nice thought though; even if it was in jest. I appreciate it.

He does seem to have to confused you for someone else. He was expressing interest in the 170 Campagnolo in schnibops thread, it looks like.
